Ovulation Induction – The target number is one egg. In patients who do not ovulate naturally, single egg is developed with the help of medication and can be accompanied with TI / IUI.
Superovulation – In patients who ovulate naturally but more number of eggs are developed (up to 3) to increase the chances of pregnancy mostly done accompanied with IUI.
Controlled Ovarian Stimulation – This is the method of stimulation in IVF / ICSI where drugs are given to form eggs and another set of drugs are given which prevent the eggs from rupturing inside the body. Once they are finally ready, they are taken out from the body under ultrasound guidance. This procedure (egg collections) is usually done under anaesthesia and is not painful.
