MOST COMMON QUESTIONS BY COUPLES

Natural conception happens when sperm enters egg of female and forms an embryo (early stage baby). Embryo grows on to become a full baby in about 9 months time.

If pregnancy does not happen naturally even after one year of trying and age of female is under 35 years. If age of female is over 35 years, then after 6 months of natural trying, couple should visit a fertility specialist. Even if couple already has a baby, the same rules apply and in this case it is called secondary infertility. Primary infertility is when the couple fails to have their first baby.

In about 1/3rd patients, it’s because of male problem, in about 1/3rd female problem and again in about 1/3rd the cause can not be found but still pregnancy can happen.

For male – Semen analysis

For female – Ovulation study (done by ultrasound and blood tests), hormone tests, test for tube blockage

Timed Intercourse (TI) – Egg is produced and the correct time to try is told to the couple.

Intra-uterine Insemination (IUI) – Egg is produced and at correct timings concentrated sperms are introduced into the uterus.

IVF / ICSI (Test tube Baby) – Egg is removed from female and it is mated with sperm outside the body and embryo (initial stage of baby) is produced. Embryo is transferred inside the uterus after 2 to 5 days. Rest of the baby grows inside the uterus of mother.

Yes, this can be done with consent of both partners and is kept confidential from everyone else. Neither the donor knows who is recipient nor the couple knows who is the donor. This is very much legal in India

No, that never happens in an ethical centre like ours.

There are many centres in the market run by people who are either not infertility specialists or many times they are not even doctors. They simply act as mediators and most of the technical work is done by a team which visits them once a month. They have to club all patients on the dates when the team is expected to visit. Dr. Mandeep Kaur is a super-specialist in this field and does all work related to this field herself from picking up of eggs to transfer of embryo. This way she is able to perform procedures throughout the month. Apart from this, her experience and knowledge enables her to get the best results in most cost-effective way.

Not all patients visiting us require IVF / ICSI (test tube baby) which is the most expensive form of treatment. Many unethical centres try to perform test tube baby method on all patients but Dr. Mandeep Kaur will try to make patient pregnant in most cost-effective and natural way. IVF / ICSI is advised only in those cases who have no chance to conceive otherwise.
